case study
From Whisk to Clicks
In April 2023, I had the pleasure of managing a Pinterest account dedicated to gluten-free food and baking.
This particular account was a treasure trove of delectable gluten-free recipes, helpful baking tips, and mouthwatering food photography. I was astonished by how beautiful the blog photos of my clients were.
Setting the Stage
I headed on with my Account Audit and Assessed my client’s goal in doing Pinterest Marketing. It had a decent following, especially on other platforms, but was not fully using and reusing content that was already in there. One thing is sure: there are plenty of high-quality images and informative content in the client’s blog, which keeps updating every week.
Strategy #1: Crafting Strategic Pins
A pin featuring a gluten-free chocolate cake now boasted a captivating caption: “The Fluffiest Gluten Free Chocolate Cake | Fool-proof.” These strategic pins drew the attention of Pinterest users scrolling through their feeds.
Strategy #2: Optimizing Boards
To organize the account effectively, we optimized boards. We categorized recipes into boards such as “Gluten-Free Breakfasts,” “Healthy Gluten-Free Snacks,” and “Gluten-Free Baking Tips.”
This clear and logical structure made it easier for users to find what they wanted. Additionally, we ensured that each board had eye-catching cover images and rich, well-researched keywords in the descriptions.
Strategy #3: Consistent Pinning and Engagement
I implemented a consistent pinning schedule to keep the account active and engaging. We posted fresh pins consistently.
We used her Social Media content, recreated it, and created it to be Pinterest-compatible content.

IMPORTANT
Each account is different, especially in generating results on Pinterest, and I am so thankful for my client’s patience.
Engagement and Follower Growth
This one I just considered as BONUS!
Going forward, my client Pinterest transformed from an underutilized account into a thriving hub for gluten-free food and baking enthusiasts. Of course, there are down days as well, I assure you. It’s not always this way, but it continuously brings us the traffic we need.
We successfully increased outbound clicks, engagement, and follower growth by implementing strategies like crafting strategic pins, optimizing boards, and maintaining a consistent presence.
